Ha, ha, ha!
We went over to Ash’s grandparents and had dinner last night. Then we met up with my aunt and Kristie to see Cats and Dogs. It was cute… I liked the Ninja cats and the Russian cat.
I’m going to reserve our room at the hotel for MTAC tomorrow. We learned some things at Animazement (and from our Orlando trip)… we’re going up the day *before* it starts and getting a room for that night, too. That way we won’t have to worry about check in time, or getting there just as it starts and having to change real fast. We still don’t know if Cath can go or not. Ash and I KNOW we could easily go by ourselves – I mean, we can both drive, and we’ll be at the hotel the ENTIRE time. And really, it’s NASHVILLE. I mean, I can understand if we were going to New York, but geez. Most everyone wants some adult to go with us.
Anyway. I’m trying to finalize the costumes I want to take with me. My major costumes I’m DEFINITELY taking are Ruby Moon, movie version Juri, and Milly from Trigun. I’m also making my Utena costume in time for that. I’ve also got a new Asuka in her yellow dress outfit which I’ll wear, but I’m not going all out for it. If I have time before the con (likely), I’m going to try to make my Misato NERV costume (which I’m making mostly cause I want the jacket to wear w/normal clothes), if I finish that I’ll take it too. I’m also gonna drag my Jupiter, Selphie, and girl type Ranma costume along as well. GEEZ! that’s a lot of costumes. I’m also going as SuperSailormoon for Halloween the day before we leave! But I didn’t make that costume, so *shrug* (and actually, it hasn’t gotten here yet, and I’m worried….)
Ash is going as Boy-Type Ranma with the chinese outfit she bought at Epcot, Sakura’s ‘private school’ uniform from the illus book, Meryl from Trigun, and she’s thinking of doing Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken, which I think she should, she’s got the perfect hair for it.
I wish I had time to make a Julia outfit to go with it!
Man… I’m sorry, I know you guys don’t really care about it, but making costumes and wearing them is so much fun. I just love to talk about it.
